Application Guidelines Cryotech CF7® Liquid Deicers

Application Cryotech CF7 liquid deicerThe most optimal amount of Cryotech CF7 is also depended by surfacetemperature, quality and amount of ice. Therefore given application rates should be interpreted as a point of starting that might be adapted depending on specific conditions.

0°C to -5°C

  • 10 to 20 gr/m² if there’s a change of frost or snowfall
  • 20 to 40 gr/m² if there’s a change of freezing rain or fog

-5°C to -12°C

  • 25 to 30 gr/m² if there’s a change of frost or snowfall
  • 30 to 60 gr/m² if thickness of ice is less then 2.5 mm
  • 50 to 100 gr/m² if thickness of ice is more then 2.5 mm

lower then -12°C

  • 130 to 150 gr/m² if thickness of ice is more then 2.5 mm

Advisory - Mixing Fluids

Cryotech CF7 is certified to comply with SAE AMS 1435. Fluids meeting this specification are unique to each manufacturer and may be adversely affected by mixing with other deicing/anti-icing fluids. Therefore, Cryotech recommends that CF7 not be mixed with other manufacturer’s products.

Shelf Life

CF7 is stable and may be stored indefinitely if kept in clean, closed containers. Containers not adequately sealed may exhibit biological growth as a result of the fluid prematurely biodegrading. CF7 stored in rusty or contaminated containers may experience a reduction in inhibitor concentration and/or show fluid discoloration.
