Henceforth the full Proviron product portfolio will be focused on three business units: products, custom manufacturing and biodiesel, including spin offs. These three lines of activity will be systemically developed into success stories.

In the business unit, “own products” our enthusiastic young team has continued to optimise the product portfolio and its specifications. Moreover, we have improved the sales structures and customer support. Part of the Proviron success in the tough and competitive world markets is the delivery of consistent, very high quality products combined with supply reliability and flexibility. That may sound an obvious formula for success but it is not easy to achieve. Proviron makes it happen.

Prolific portfolio
The portfolio own products holds several speciality chemicals in quantities from 100 to 5000 tonnes. We are a global market leader in several of these high added value products. Examples are de-icers for airport runways and roads, intermediates for the pharmaceutical, paper and automotive industries, additives and plasticisers for the production of synthetic materials, an emulsifier for water based paints and several other fine chemicals.
Approach to market and customer
We continue to refine the approach to our markets. By means of a diversified approach, we have reached more “small” customers in countries such as the USA and Germany as well as in Eastern Europe. China, India and South Africa too are on our list of countries, which we would like to open up to our specialities.
In our commercial relations, we have positioned ourselves closer to the customer. The basic question we keep asking ourselves is: “What are the customers’ challenges and how can we help to solve them?” We are talking about total service: product and assistance. That is true for both the search for and development of new applications for existing products, and for the development of alternatives and technology. Our qualitative total service removes the customers’ worries they may have about “difficult” processes or logistics.

Like all companies in the chemical industry, Proviron watches closely the European legislation about product safety and environmental friendliness. Our proactive approach means that we not only think about the consequences for the company and its products, but also consider the opportunities REACH offers. When we identify such opportunities, these are fed back to our R&D department. That way, we remain at the vanguard of potential new developments.
