Given the technological background, typical of Proviron, creating value for third parties has always been a logical choice in the company’s strategy. This becomes especially valuable when the customer designs a new product with promising features, but lacks the production process technology.
Moreover, custom manufacturing creates predictable cash flow. The customer can also have a product manufactured as a test case to find out whether a new investment for this product is economically viable. We can build production units, using our process technology know-how, cheaper than our customer can.

Long-term relationship
One of Proviron’s strengths is the versatile technology of our multi-purpose units. A pipeline network is also present and includes necessary peripheral infrastructure such as storage facilities. This way Proviron can turn the customers’ make-or-buy decision to its advantage. That way the company is an attractive long-term partner for customers who do not have the necessary equipment or who are not willing or capable to build it. This approach is common in the manufacturing of basic building blocks, intermediates, and even final products belonging to the core tasks of multinational companies.
Reliable partner
The total package of reliability factors (“overall reliability”) offered by Proviron is a fixed feature in the European chemical industry, certainly for so-called “mature” products (traditional, well-known building blocks) where companies may hesitate to build extra capacity in Europe. Our reliability strengthens a long-term relationship to a long-term alliance, sometimes resulting in contracts of over 10 years.
Process technology packages
For Proviron “Process technology packages” start with the development of a competitive concept. We differentiate ourselves by minimising the cost factors in building, operating and maintaining the production units, including low variable costs and maximum plant reliability. A new concept must prove itself at the pilot stage or straight away via a calculated step to production scale level.
We aim at keeping in-house the thus detailed process technology. But because multinational companies attach great importance to intellectual property, we discuss in a clear and professional manner with all of the customers’ divisions to find the right balance. That is an innovation in our partner relationships. Proviron products have unique “fingerprints” and are recognised immediately.
