Proviron, our products

Proviron manufactures specialty chemicals, mainly intermediates and plasticizers, situated in medium volume niche markets. We produce them on two plants situated in Belgium, Hemiksem and Oostende, and one plant in Friendly WV, US, totaling a number of 22 production units. For most of our own products, we have a market leader position.

Our chemicals are building blocks to a host of downstream products whose diverse end-use pattern includes among others plastics, agro-chemicals, textiles, colorants, pharmaceuticals, polymers, adhesives, personal care products ...

Our goal is to present customers a complete service package, not only producing a high standard chemical, but also taking care of logistics, packaging, quality control and technical service and research for product applications.

Through experience and scientific knowledge, we have established very advanced production facilities to manufacture speciality and fine chemicals. Our well-equipped laboratory and highly skilled employees ensure an absolute quality and consistency of the products.

Innovation and development are a continuous process, evolving from a dialogue with our customers, the environment and ourselves. Beginning with laboratory testing, through pilot installations, we reach a perfect integration to industrial production. The high quality standards, as well as close relations with our customers, ensure a greater flexibility and speed of response to individual needs.

Intermediates

are reactants in numerous process steps starting from a raw material and then to be used for a finished product.

 

Plasticizers

are esters based on alcohol's and organic acids.
They give plastics elastic properties, thus broadening its range of applications.

 

Deicers

are among the few end products we produce.
They are used to make and keep airports and roads free of ice in an environment-friendly way.
