How were these studies set up?

Ross chickens were fed with three reference feeds:

  • a poor feed with no bacterial enteritis challenge (negative control)
  • a rich feed inducing bacterial enteritis (positive control)
  • a rich feed with antibiotics

In the test, our products were added to the rich feed in order to help the animals in fighting bacterial attack and increase their overall performance.

What were the results?

From the test results we can conclude that:

  • Provifeed™ 07412 significantly improves end weight and feed conversion rate when compared to the positive control
  • The intestinal development of the young animals is optimized by the butyric acid in Provifeed™ 07412. The product increases the nutrient absorption and growth of the young animals.
  • On top of that, the monolaurate in the product provides an antimicrobial support to the gut. This reduces the risk of dysbacteriosis during the growth phase.

In short

The combination of butyric acid and monolaurate in Provifeed™ 07412 guarantees a trouble free start for the young animals, a dynamic growth and an optimal fattening period. The use of Provifeed™ 07412 in feed for broilers, results in a decrease of FCR with 7 points and an increase in end weight of 200 g at 42 days.

In vivo trials show that Provifeed 07412 significantly improves the technical results of broilers

Recent in vivo studies with broilers confirm the effects of our Provifeed products in a farming environment. The trials show that Provifeed 07412 significantly improves the technical results of broilers.
